Is there such thing as “half an assist”?
Francis Coquelin must secretly be terrified about the stunning form of Granit Xhaka.
The Swiss midfielder was bought in by Arsene Wenger in the summer and many Arsenal fans assumed that it would result in Coquelin being dropped to the bench.
But despite the fact that Xhaka keeps on performing well whenever he is on the pitch, Wenger continues to start Francis Coquelin.
The French midfielder, like all Arsenal players, was on fine form in The Gunners 4-1 victory against Hull City on Saturday.
Cheeky from Francis Coquelin
Coquelin won Arsenal a penalty, which Sanchez consequently missed but Arsenal kept their cool.
Wenger bought on Xhaka in the 67th minute and he did not fail to impress the fans at all.
In fact in his 23 minute stint on the pitch, he made more passes than Pogba completed in the whole Manchester Derby last Saturday.
Xhaka scored his first Arsenal goal with an absolute thunderbolt of a strike in the 90th minute and Coquelin is claiming “half an assist” after he said that he was “screaming at Granit to shoot!”
