FPL bosses take note: Rafael Benitez provides Calvert-Lewin return timetable

Everton manager Rafael Benitez has, on Monday evening, provided an update on the wellbeing of star striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Clarets showdown

The Toffees are of course set to return to action shortly.

In their first fixture on the back of the international break, Benitez and co. will play host to Burnley, in a Premier League clash.

Everton head into proceedings aware that a 3-point haul would guide them to the dizzying heights of the English top-flight’s summit, albeit alongside all of Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea.

And the hosts on Monday will no doubt be confident in their chances of securing precisely that, having racked up seven points from an available nine to open the season.

And, evidently, the 24-year-old failed to recover in time, with the responsibility of leading Everton’s frontline against Burnley having instead been afforded to Richarlison:

In turn, speaking during his pre-match media duties at Goodison Park, it came as little surprise when Benitez was asked for the latest on Calvert-Lewin’s recovery.

And, in a concerning update for not only the Toffees faithful, but also DCL’s owners in Fantasy Premier League, his boss went on to reveal that the striker looks set for a spell of another ‘two-to-three weeks’ on the sidelines:
