FPL bosses rejoice: Jack Grealish returns ahead of Fulham clash

Aston Villa have been handed a major boost on the personnel front on Monday, ahead of the club’s crucial season run-in.

Villa’s 2020/21

Dean Smith’s men have of course enjoyed a campaign to remember to date.

After narrowly avoiding the drop last time out, an influx of fresh talent, along with adjusted expectations, have seen the Claret & Blue surprise the masses thus far.

Villa currently sit 10th in the Premier League table, having spent much of the season battling it out amongst the European places.

Recent weeks, though, have proven of a considerably more challenging nature for Smith and co. In fact, the Villans have managed just a solitary victory across their last 7 league outings.

It should come as no surprise that such a difficult stretch has directly coincided with the absence of the club’s star man.

Jack Grealish has not lined out for Villa since a meeting with Brighton on the 13th of February, after picking up what was described as a ‘lower leg’ injury in training.

The Claret and Blue’s goalscoring exploits, in turn, have taken a major hit, with Grealish of course one of the Premier League’s most creative talents.

‘Jack is back’

As outlined above, though, on Monday, Villa’s prospects over the weeks and indeed months ahead have received a major boost.

This comes amid confirmation that the club’s captain and talisman has returned to training.

The Lions announced the news via their social media platforms this evening, with Grealish looking set to be in contention for the club’s return to action versus Fulham this weekend:
