FPL 2022/23: Best captain picks gameweek 13

Week 13 of the Premier League season kicks off on Saturday the 22nd of October.

The Fantasy Premier League deadline for gameweek 13 is 11:00 am UK time on Saturday.

One of the most important aspects of FPL is picking your captain each week. Whoever you select as your captain with earn double their standard score, or triple it if you chose to play your triple captain chip, which you can do once per season.

But deciding on your captain each week can be a very tough decision that can make or break your game week.

With this in mind, 101GreatGoals will be providing you with an insight into the best captain picks for every game week this season.

Erling Haaland vs Brighton (12.1)

There is not too much to say about Erling Haaland that has not already been said.

The Norwegian has 15 goals and three assists in 10 games, making him the highest-scoring player on FPL by some distance.

City also did not play in midweek due to Arsenal’s European commitments, so Haaland and co. should all be well rested.

The Sky Blues take on a Brighton side who are winless in four and struggling to find their feet post-Graham Potter.

Mohamed Salah vs Nottingham Forest (12.8)

Liverpool’s form has improved a great deal in the last few weeks.

Their last two outings saw them beat Manchester City and Nottingham Forest 1-0.

They now face Nottingham Forest. Forest are dead bottom of the league with just one win to their name and the second-worst defence in the division.

Aleksandar Mitrovic vs Leeds (6.8)

Mitrovic has scored eight goals in 10 outings so far this season, making him the 6th-best forward on FPL.

Fulham are facing Leeds United this weekend, a side who are in danger of slipping into the relegation zone.

The Yorkshire outfit have lost four of their last five and their only recent clean sheet came against a poor Aston Villa team.
