Everton, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham are set to battle it out for the signing of Augsburg left-back Philipp Max.
Max has been mighty impressive for the German club so far this season, helping them to make their best ever start to the Bundesliga.
The 24-year-old is even being mentioned as a potential candidate for Germany’s World Cup squad.
The flying full-back is also capable of playing in a more advanced role as a winger.
This versatility, along with his impressive performances is making him an attractive proposition.
Rather impressively, the player has amassed eight assists and one goal in 15 Bundesliga appearances.
Most interested in the player is Everton, who have sent scouts to watch the German in action.
However, Max has just recently signed a new contract at Augsburg keeping him there until 2022.
Tottenham’s Rose tussle
With full-back becoming heavily sought after in the Premier League, Manchester United are a side trying especially hard to secure a left-sided one.
Jose Mourinho and Manchester United have been hotly pursuing a deal for Tottenham Hotspur full-back Danny Rose.
However, the Red Devils know they face a major dilemma in attempting to sign the 27-year-old: dealing with Daniel Levy.
Last summer, they felt what it is like to deal with the Tottenham chairman when they were swiftly turned away when trying to negotiate a deal for Eric Dier.
Instead, Old Trafford officials have turned their attention to Spurs’ last 16 Champions League opposition Juventus.
United are now keen on signing the Juve’s Brazilian full-back Alex Sandro.
This may also be a deal very difficult deal to complete given both the Italian’s £60m valuation and the competition they may face in the form of Chelsea.
The Blues were closely linked with Sandro last summer but were unsuccessful in prising him away from Turin.
