Jeremy Toljan

Former Tottenham and Chelsea target set for Borussia Dortmund

Sky Sports Deutschland have this evening revealed that Hoffenheim defender Jeremy Toljan is all set to join fellow Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund.

Talented youngster

Toljan, a 23-year-old defender equally comfortable playing at either right or left-back, proved a crucial part of the German squad who lifted the U21 European Championship title this past in June.

The Bundesliga starlet has long been touted as a potential star of the future, with current club Hoffenheim having long been aware that they would likely lose their crown jewel this summer ahead of his contract expiring in 2018.

Suitors

Premier League sides Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea, along with Serie A outfit Napoli, were all heavily linked with moves for Toljan earlier this summer, but the stopper now looks set to remain in Germany, albeit with a new club.

As per the aforementioned report from Sky Sports Deutschland, the former Stuttgart starlet has agreed to join Borussia Dortmund, with an official announcement on the transfer expected tomorrow.
