Former Manchester United star Wes Brown has urged the club to sign Leicester defender Harry Maguire this summer in a big money move.
The Englishman impressed during his nations run in the 2018 World Cup under Gareth Southgate and his club future has been a topic ever since.
It was no surprise that he was being linked with the big boys in the Premier League but it was Manchester United who registered their interest first.
While a deal is starting to look unlikely for the time being with Leicester reluctant to sell, the deal looks to be on the back burner.
Now, former Man United star Wes Brown has been talking about a potential move for Maguire.
He is certainly in favour of signing the player and prefers him over another linked defender, Yerry Mina.
“Maguire had a fantastic tournament and has been really good for Leicester since joining them from Hull,” he explained to 888sport.
“He’s shown that he can play on that stage. That’s the sort of player Manchester United need. He knows the Premiership and knows what it’s about.
“I never talk about the money side of it because if a player will strengthen your team then the transfer fee is what it is.
“All I care about is whether he will be good for the team and he definitely would be.
“Mina could be a good partner for Bailly. Obviously, he’s not played in the Premier League before but he actually did very well in the World Cup.
“I think Maguire would be my first choice but that doesn’t take anything away from Mina who is a good player”
