United for the title
Former Chelsea forward Hernan Crespo has tipped Manchester United to win the title, as he feels manager Jose Mourinho will be the difference.
Crespo of course worked with Mourinho at Chelsea and won a title under the manager, and thinks that the United boss will pull it out of the bag in his second season at Old Trafford.
Not only that, but Crespo was talking about how he sees Mourinho, and the different personas the manager has in front of the media and in front of the players, and says that he loved working with Mourinho for three reasons.
“I think Manchester United will win the Premier League because Mourinho has never failed in a second season.” Crespo told Betstar.
“Jose is one of the best in the world. He’s made history everywhere with Porto, Inter and now he can do it with Manchester United. It’s difficult to explain, but when you play with Mourinho, you feel like the best striker in the world.
“There are two different people with Mourinho. The one in front of the camera and another Mourinho in the dressing room. I prefer the Mourinho in the dressing room, he’s friendlier. I really like his method of training, his motivation and his passion.”
The issues surrounding Chelsea have only got worse this summer, and the club don’t seem to be as in tune with manager Antonio Conte as they were last term.
There are of course the worries over the squad size, that have been amplified with Pedro’s injury and the fact that the club have failed to offload Diego Costa to boot, leaving Chelsea with quite the dilemma over what to do with the forward if offers from AC Milan and Atletico Madrid fail to come in for him.
