Manchester United bus attacked at West Ham

The last game at Upton Park was certainly eventful, long before kick off between West Ham and Manchester United.

For the second time this season, the Manchester United coach was late to a Premier League match, this time due to a West Ham fan attack outside the ground.

In scenes harking back to the 1980s, the West Ham support outside the Boleyn Ground threw plenty of objects at the Manchester United bus.

Clearly, as the footage below proves, it wasn’t too safe for the Manchester United players and staff on the bus, although no one was injured.

From what we can see, Jesse Lingard and co. appeared to revel in the West Ham fan bus attack and can be seen on their phones and joking.

Presumably it was somewhat fearful to be on the bus as it rode into Upton Park for their last game.

Both Wayne Rooney and Louis van Gaal referenced the attack in the pre-match interviews and United seriously struggled in the opening stages of the game.
