First of Kylian Mbappe’s replacements attends Monaco vs Marseille ahead of transfer

According to French outlet L’Equipe, Inter Milan striker Stevan Jovetic is present at Monaco’s Ligue 1 matchup with Marseille this evening, as he prepares for a transfer to the Stade Louis.

On the move

Jovetic, who previously lined out for Manchester City in the Premier League, has been informed that he is free to leave Inter Milan this summer, having fallen down the pecking order at the San Siro.

He spent the second half of last season on loan at La Liga outfit Sevilla, and was expected to return to the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán on a permanent deal this summer.

However, Sevilla and Inter were unable to come to an agreement regarding a fee, with the Montenegrin now looking set for a move to France.

Imminent arrival

As per the aforementioned report from L’Equipe, Jovetic is present at the clash between Monaco and Marseille at the Stade Louis tonight, with his transfer expected to be announced shortly.

The news about Jovetic comes on the back of a number of outlets this evening claiming that Monaco have agreed to sell star man Kylian Mbappe to Ligue 1 rivals PSG, on loan for the coming season with an option to buy.

However, with the club having also parted with Valere Germain this summer, Jovetic is expected to be the first of a minimum of 2 attacking arrivals for the French champions over the coming days.
