FIFA reveals Confederations Cup 2017 goal of the tournament (Video)


Following the conclusion of this month’s Confederations Cup, FIFA have no revealed the goal of the tournament.

The strike, by Mexico’s Marco Fabian, was voted for by fans. Raul Jimenez’s goal against New Zealand came 2nd.

Mexico finished the tournament in fourth after losing their play-off against Portugal 2-1 after extra time.

Fabian’s rocket of a goal came against the eventual winners at the semi-final stage. Despite being named goal of the tournament, it was nothing more than a consolation as Germany won the match 4-1.

A total of 43 goals (just under 2.70 per match) were scored during the tournament, which was won by a youthful Germany side
