Fernandinho & De Bruyne: Man City injury update before Brighton

Brighton vs Man City

Manchester City are just one game away from being crowned Premier League champions for a second successive season.

At one point in the year, the Citizens were a full seven points off 1st-placed Liverpool, but after recovering from their dip in form, City have overturned the gap due to Jurgen Klopp’s side drawing too many games.

Man City now have a one-point lead heading into the final game of the season.

As for Liverpool, they will face Wolves at Anfield on the last day.

Liverpool are superb at Anfield, as demonstrated by their comeback versus Barcelona on Tuesday night.

However, Wolves have an excellent record against the top six clubs.

They have drawn with Man City and Chelsea this season, beaten Tottenham, Arsenal, Man United twice and Liverpool in the FA Cup back in January.

City’s opponents on Sunday, Brighton, are also safe from relegation so they have little to play for.

Man City injury update

Ahead of the key clash with Brighton, reliable injury analyst Ben Dinnery has provided an update on two of Man City’s top stars.

Fernandinho is an integral member of City’s midfield but he has missed their last two league outings through injury.

However, the Brazilian is said to be responding well to treatment and could be available on Sunday.

As for Kevin De Bruyne, he is a lot less likely to feature against the Seagulls:
