Danny Rose vs Juventus
According to the consensus opinion, Danny Rose will again be left out of the Tottenham line-up on Wednesday night in the Champions League.
Rose has failed to lock down a starting berth since he’s returned to fitness for Tottenham this season.
To be clear, Ben Davies is set to start at left-back against Juventus tonight.
Mauricio Pochettino vs Danny Rose
On Tuesday, Tottenham held an open training session.
That lead to a curious moment between Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino and Danny Rose.
In the middle of the session, Pochettino took Rose away from the main group for a walk around the training pitches. The pair were locked in conversation, although the content of that discussion remains unknown.
When Pochettino was asked about his Rose chat, the Tottenham boos kept tight-lipped:
That was a private conversation. It was just a coincidence that you saw me, but that is the normal way I approach my players.
Animated? Yes. It is because we have passion. We might not show it too much on the touchline, but we are people who feel passion.

Tottenham’s Rose: ‘I’m fit enough’
Danny Rose has also opened up about his situation at Tottenham.
Of course, Rose has been linked with a move to Man United previously.
In the programmer for the Rochdale game, Rose made the following statement:
I felt I’d started to hit good form before the Southampton setback, then I had to spend a month in the gym to get stronger again. It’s great to be back again of course, but I need to build up my match fitness.
I’d say I’m probably match fit for any other team in the league, but still not quite where I need to be and where I’d like to be for this team. Being match fit isn’t good enough here, you have to be exceptionally fit for the way we like to play and I was close to that before my last setback.
It’s probably going to take another couple of matches now to get me back to where I was.
We’ve got so much more to play for this season and I want to make sure I’m part of it. There are really exciting times ahead.
