Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 9: Three in, three out

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 9 kicks off on Saturday the 20th of October at 12:30 pm UK time as Chelsea host Manchester United.

So, all of your transfers for GW9 need to be done by 11:30 am UK time on Saturday.

But if you are struggling to choose who to sign and who to sell this week, here are some tips.

3 in including Manchester City star

Ederson (5.7)

Heading into this weekend’s FPL games, Ederson is currently top of the goalkeeper leaderboard and someone you should definitely have in your side.

At 5.7 Ederson is one of the more expensive goalkeeping options, however, he is 100% worth it.

Ederson has helped Manchester City keep an impressive five clean sheets in eight league games this season.

City also have the joint lowest goals conceded in the league this season at three.

Plus, City are at home to Burnley this week meaning another clean sheet is very much on the cards for City’s number one shot-stopper.

Callum Wilson (6.4)

Despite costing just 6.4, Callum Wilson is currently the second best forward on Fantasy Premier League.

The Bournemouth talisman has amassed an impressive 49 points already this season, just three less than Sergio Aguero, who would cost you considerably more.

Wilson’s goal tally is not too impressive at three from eight, but what is impressive is the fact he has managed to earn seven assists in eight league games this season.

The Cherries take on Southampton this game week, meaning Wilson is very likely to be amongst the goals again.

Gylfi Sigurdsson (7.4)

If you are in need of a relatively cheap midfield option this week then Everton’s Gylfi Sigurdsson should be high on your list of candidates.

The midfielder will cost you just 7.4 and is just eight points behind second-place Raheem Sterling.

Sigurdsson has scored four and assisted one in the league for the Toffees this season.

Furthermore, Everton have a relatively nice fixture at home to Crystal Palace this game week.

Sigurdsson is also Everton’s top scorer this season, which shows just how important he is to his side.

3 out including Liverpool midfielder

Sadio Mane (9.8)

Sadio Mane has been one of the top players on Fantasy Premier League this season.

The winger has scored four in eight and has been key to Liverpool’s success in the league.

However, Mane was one of several players to sustain an injury during the international break.

Liverpool’s official website have confirmed that Mane underwent a procedure on his hand and as a result, he is now a doubt for Huddersfield.

Also, given Mane has not scored in four league games for Liverpool, it may be time to consider selling the midfielder.

Luke Shaw (5.1)

Luke Shaw has been perhaps Manchester United’s best defender this season.

His individual displays have been excellent, however, United’s defence as a whole is poor.

They have let in 14 goals in eight league games, the most out of the top 15 Premier League sides.

United also face high flying Chelsea this week. Couple that with Shaw having to deal with a slight knock and it is perhaps time to sell the young full-back.

Wilfried Zaha (7.0)

Wilfried Zaha had an excellent 2017/18 Fantasy Premier League season earning 136 points.

As a result, many people chose Zaha as their budget forward this campaign.

However, Zaha has not had the greatest start.

The Crystal Palace forward is currently the 15th best forward on FPL, which is simply not good enough.

There are many options that are cheaper than Zaha who have gained more points this season.

Furthermore, Zaha picked up an injury while on international duty and is now a doubt for Palace’s game this weekend.
