Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 38: Three in, three out

Raheem Sterling

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 38 kicks off on Sunday the 12th of May at 3:00 pm UK time, with all 20 teams in action.

So, all of your transfers for GW38 need to be made by 2:00 pm UK time on Sunday.

But, if you are struggling to choose who to sign and who to sell this week, here are some tips.

3 in including Man City midfielder

Raheem Sterling (11.7)

Manchester City take on 17th-placed Brighton in their final game of the season.

City must win to ensure they are crowned 2019 Premier League champions.

So, it is likely Pep Guardiola’s side will be throwing everything at the Seagulls.

Their star player on FPL this season has been Raheem Sterling. He has scored 17 and assisted 14 in the league.

Ryan Fraser (6.3)

Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser has one of the best assist records in Europe’s top five league this campaign.

The 6.3 bargain has scored seven and assisted an impressive 14 times in the Premier League for Bournemouth.

The Cherries also have a relatively-handy away game vs Crystal Palace this week. The Eagles are much better away from home.

Sadio Mane (10.3)

While normally you probably shouldn’t be buying players from a top-six club that is facing Wolves, this week may prove to be an exception.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have either beaten or drawn with all of the top six already this season.

But, given the fact that Liverpool need to win to keep their title hopes alive, the clash will be at Anfield, and Wolves have already secured 7th place, the tie may be somewhat different this time around.

So, signing a Liverpool forward this game-week could be a risk worth taking.

3 out including Tottenham midfielder

Heung-min Son (8.7)

Heung-min Son has been one of Tottenham’s better midfielders this season, scoring 12 and assisting eight.

However, he was shown a red card vs Bournemouth last time out and is set to miss their final game of the season.

Son’s form had also been declining in recent weeks. He hasn’t scored or assisted for four league games.

Romelu Lukaku (10.7)

Romelu Lukaku missed Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Huddersfield last weekend due to injury.

While Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may have been hoping to have the Belgian back for Cardiff, it looks unlikely that he will have recovered in time.

United’s form has also been pretty poor in recent weeks, so selling any of their players may be a wise move.

Roberto Firmino (9.3)

Much like Lukaku, Roberto Firmino is a doubt for Liverpool’s final league game of the season.

The Brazilian missed Liverpool’s epic comeback versus Barcelona on Tuesday through injury.

While he is likely to be back for the Champions League final on June 1st, Firmino will probably miss the key Wolves tie.
