Manolo Gabbiadini

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 35 preview: Into the home straight & Gabbiadini v Jesus

Gameweek 34

Once again the 101 Great Goals side finished above the average points for this week.

Sticking the armband on Romelu Lukaku was a disaster but thanks to many people investing in Middlesbrough striker Alvaro Negredo as their captain, we were ok.

Once again Christian Eriksen has proved to be our signing of the season. We also got returns from Phil Coutinho, Jan Vertonghen and Eric Bailly.

We now sit in an overall rank of 45,934 in the game but time is running out in the season to make a lot more progress.

Unlike many managers out there, we have only Bench Boost (for Gameweek 37) and All Out Attack chips remaining.

The 101 Great Goals league

It was a similar story for 101 Great Goals league leader Hauzinho’s Harriers.

Christian Eriksen made it an above average Gameweek, but there are some teams coming from behind in what still looks like a decent title race.

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 35

Since playing our Wildcard in Gameweek 31 we have four consecutive green arrows which is really encouraging.

Ultimately though we haven’t scored big enough this season to really challenge higher up the overall rankings.

We would need a flawless last few Gameweeks to get into the targeted position of top 5,000.

Gabbiadini v Jesus for Rashford

Our big dilemma concerned the striker spot currently held by Marcus Rashford.

We love Rashford but the young England striker did not pull out any significant points in the recent double gameweek and Manchester United attackers look far from essential right now.

Southampton’s Manolo Gabbiadini is the man we plump for to replace Rashford partly because of the upcoming double double gameweek enjoyed by Southampton in Gameweeks 36 & 37.

After his return to action last night, we are toying with bringing Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus in. But, the fact we have Sergio Aguero has seen us leave out the returning prodigal son.

We revert to the tried and tested formula of #alwayscaptainAguero expecting big things from Manchester City at rubbish Middlesbrough.

The transfer deadline is on Saturday at 14:00 ahead of the four Premier League games which kick off at 15:00.

Good luck everyone!
