Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 17: Three in, three out

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 17 kicks off on Saturday the 15th of December at 12:30 pm UK time as Manchester City host Everton.

So, all of your transfers for GW17 need to be done by 11:30 am UK time on Saturday.

But if you are struggling to choose who to sign and who to sell this week, here are some tips.

3 in including Tottenham midfielder

Mohamed Salah (13.0)

After a bit of a slow start, Mohamed Salah is looking back to his best for Liverpool.

The midfielder has now scored 10 and assisted five for Liverpool in the league and is the best midfielder on FPL with 111 points.

Liverpool are also set to host Man United this weekend.

United have the joint worst defence of the top 13 Premier League sides, letting in 26 in 16 and it is very likely Salah will be able to take advantage of an injury-stricken United backline.

Richarlison (7.1)

As far as budget midfielders go, Everton’s Richarlison is up there with the best.

Playing largely as a centre-forward for Everton, you are getting a strikers amount of goals for a midfielder’s points total.

This makes the Brazilian very desirable and after scoring in back-to-back games for Everton, it is clear Richarlison is in good form.

The Brazilian now has eight goals and one assist in 14 league games this season.

Heung-Min Son (8.5)

When Heung-Min Son returned from international duty with South Korea it was clear he was not himself.

The winger looked a shell of his former self and was simply not playing well enough to land a consistent space in Tottenham’s starting XI.

However, in his last four league matches, Son has gone on to score three and assist two for Spurs.

Tottenham also host Burnley this weekend, a side who have let in 32 goals in 16 games.

3 out including Liverpool defender

Trent Alexander-Arnold (5.4)

After 16 league games, Liverpool have the best defence in the league, letting in just six goals in 16 games.

This makes all of their main defenders very desirable. Including Trent Alexander-Arnold who has earned 73 points already this season.

However, the full-back would limp off in midweek as Liverpool beat Napoli.

It has since been revealed that Alexander-Arnold is wearing a foot brace and could be out for several game weeks.

As a result, it may be best to swap TAA for someone like Virgil van Dijk.

Mesut Ozil (8.1)

Mesut Ozil had a decent start to life under Unai Emery.

The German scored three and assisted one and put on a man of the match display vs Leicester.

However, Ozil has since fallen out of favour with the new Arsenal boss and has not featured in their last four league games.

Christian Eriksen (9.3)

Christian Eriksen was one of the top midfielders on FPL last season.

However, Eriksen has earned just 45 points so far this campaign.

The midfielder has earned six assists this season, which is not bad.

But as assists only earn midfielder’s three points, you are better off with someone who can also score goals.

Eriksen was certainly capable of doing this last season, finishing the year with 11 league goals.

However, the goals seem to have disappeared from Eriksen’s game and at 9.3 he is simply not worth it.
