Fantasy Premier League 2020/21 Gameweek 6: Three in, three out

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 6 is set to get underway on Friday the 23rd of October.

The first clash of the weekend pits Aston Villa against Leeds at 7:45 PM UK time.

As a result, your team must be locked in by 6:30 PM UK time on Friday.

Gameweek 6 will come to an end on Monday the 26th, when Burnley and Tottenham face off.

Below are 101’s FPL tips for the upcoming game week.

Three in, including Tottenham forward

Harry Kane (10.8)

The first player you should look at add to your FPL side is Harry Kane.

Granted, at 10.8, Kane is pretty pricey for a forward. However, given his current form, you simply cannot ignore the Tottenham hitman.

Ahead of GW6, Kane stands as the top points scorer in all of FPL, having notched a staggering five goals and seven assists in just five outings.

Also, it is worth noting that Spurs are set to take on Burnley.

The Clarets, who have a pretty poor record against the ‘top-six’, have beaten the Lilywhites just once in the last decade, with Spurs having put five past them during one of last season’s meetings between the sides.

Mohamed Salah (12.3)

Like Kane, Salah is pretty pricey at 12.3. But once again this season, the Egyptian is providing a constant flow of FPL points.

Salah is currently the second-best midfielder on FPL, after scoring six and assisting one in Liverpool’s first five league outings.

In addition, given the fact that Liverpool are facing Sheffield United this week, you could really do with one of the Reds’ attackers in your side.

The Blades were one of the best defensive outfits in the English top-flight last term.

However, Chris Wilder’s side have had a simply awful start to the new season, failing to pick up a single win, or keep a clean sheet.

As a result, at least one Salah goal contribution this game week looks nailed on.

Tyrone Mings (5.2)

Barring Everton, Aston Villa have most certainly been the Premier League’s surprise package of 2020/21 thus far.

After avoiding relegation by the skin of their teeth last season, Villa have enjoyed a simply sensational start to the current campaign.

Despite having played one game less than most clubs, Dean Smith’s men currently sit 2nd in the Premier League, just one point adrift of table-topping Everton.

The Midlands-based outfit have picked up maximum points so far this term, conceding just two goals in the process.

As a result, you should look to add a Villa defender to your backline this game week.

Big win & clean sheet away from home

Three out, including Liverpool defender

Trent Alexander-Arnold (7.5)

Much like Mo Salah, Alexander-Arnold is usually an extremely reliable FPL choice, who often finishes top of the defensive rankings come the close of the season.

However, so far his term, TAA hasn’t been his impressive self.

Alexander-Arnold has provided one assist in five league outings, not a terrible return for a defender, but still off his usual pace.

The big concern for Liverpool now, though, is of course Virgil van Dijk’s injury. Will the Merseysiders be able to keep as tight a defence with their Dutch stalwart sidelined for potentially the rest of the season?

Since the Dutchman joined Liverpool, for the most part, they have been solid at the back. But even with van Dijk playing this season, Jurgen Klopp’s men haven’t been great defensively, keeping just one clean sheet.

So, with Alexander-Arnold priced at 7.5, perhaps it may be time to sell up and invest that money elsewhere.

Mason Mount (6.9)

At his original price of 7.0, Mason Mount appeared a decent budget FPL option this season, especially with both Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech sidelined.

However, both players are now back fit, making the competition for places in Chelsea’s midfield/attack even more fierce.

So, with Mount not exactly chipping in with too many goal contributions anyway, perhaps it is time to replace the Chelsea man with someone like Jack Grealish, who is a nailed-on starter, and involved in goals on a more consistent basis.

Lucas Moura (6.9)

Like Mount, Lucas Moura appeared to be a decent cheap option this season.

However, despite being afforded a solid amount of playing time, Lucas has scored just once and provided no assists in the Premier League thus far.

As such, with Gareth Bale now fit, it is hard to see the Brazilian earning too many starts in the near future.
