Fantasy Premier League 2020/21 Gameweek 12: Three in, three out

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 12 is set to get underway on Friday the 11th of December.

The first clash of the weekend pits Leeds against West Ham at 20:00 PM UK time.

As a result, your team must be locked in by 6:30 PM UK time on Friday.

Gameweek 12 will come to an end on Sunday the 13th of December, when Brighton and Leicester face off.

Below are 101’s FPL tips for the upcoming game week.

Three in, including Chelsea defender

Danny Ings (8.3)

Prior to his recent injury, Danny Ings was once again having a superb season with Southampton.

The hitman had netted five and assisted two in just seven league outings for the Saints.

However, he was likely removed from many people’s side due to his injury.

But Ings would return over the weekend and had an instant impact, coming off the bench to net a penalty.

Southampton are now set to face a seriously out of form Sheffield United side, meaning another Ings goal looks to be very much on the cards.

Kurt Zouma (5.7)

If you had told people that 12 weeks into the season Chelsea would have the top three defenders on FPL they probably would have laughed in your face.

However, the Blues have completely transformed their backline and it is now one of the best in the league.

Combined this with Kurt Zouma’s improved aerial ability and you have yourself one top defender.

Zouma has helped Chelsea keep five clean sheets this season whilst also already scoring a staggering four goals, making him the best defender on FPL with Ben Chilwell and Reece James in 2nd and 3rd spot.

Mohamed Salah (12.3)

Liverpool are set to face off with Fulham this week.

Scott Parker’s side have improved slightly of late and even beat Leicester at the end of November.

However, their biggest issue this term is their backline, with Fulham keeping just one clean sheet, vs West Brom, in 11 outings.

As a result, you would imagine an in-form Mohamed Salah should be able to cause their backline some issues this weekend.

Three out, including Chelsea midfielder

Hakim Ziyech (8.1)

Hakim Ziyech has had a decent start to life at Chelsea.

However, the Moroccan would suffer an injury during the last game week as Chelsea saw off Leeds United by three goals to one.

And unfortunately for Blues and FPL fans, Ziyech looks set four a couple of weeks on the sidelines.

Speaking post-Krasnodar, Lampard confirmed that Ziyech will be out for around two weeks, meaning that unless you have a solid back-up option on your bench, it is probably worth selling the midfielder.

Che Adams (6.0)

With Danny Ings back, it is probably time to move Che Adams on.

The forward seems to enjoy less success in front of goal when Ings is playing.

But regardless of that, Adams hadn’t been in that great form anyway, notching just one assist and zero goals in his last three league outings.

Patrick Bamford is similarly priced and a much better option right now.

Tomas Soucek (4.9)

The final player you should look to move on this week is Tomas Soucek.

Given his solid end to last season and his low price, the West Ham man did look a solid budget option this time around.

However, Soucek’s goal contributions have been very limited this term, with him garnering just two goals and one assist.

If you are looking to replace Soucek, Pedro Neto though slightly more expensive, looks a much better pick currently.
