Fans convinced Thierry Henry’s managerial career is over following Monaco’s horror start vs Brugge

Taking over at Monaco last month, Thierry Henry knew that his first job in management wouldn’t be a walk in the park.

However, the former Premier League legend wouldn’t have expected such an uphill struggle.

Still yet to pick up his first win since being appointed manager of his former side, Henry now sees his side 3-0 down at home to Club Brugge.

Shipping three goals in the opening 24 minutes, maybe the Frenchman is wishing he had never left the Sky punditry box.

Henry and Monaco’s woeful start

On the verge of failing to win any of his opening five games in charge of the former Ligue 1 champions, Monaco have arguably been the most disappointing side in Europe.

Although they would have hoped for a boost upon bringing in one of their most iconic stars, the French outfit have now failed to win a match since the 11th of August.

With a brace from Brugge forward Hans Vanaken and a third from Wesley Morales, Monaco have secured just one point out of a possible 12 in Europe.

Also managing to score just two Champions League goals so far in the tournament, they now hold both the worst attacking and defensive record in Group A.

Social media reaction

Needless to say, Twitter has had its says on Henry’s slow start to life at the Stade Louis II:
