Fabinho set to make Liverpool Champions League debut vs Crvena Zvezda

Liverpool midfielder Fabinho is expected to make his Champions League debut for the club against Crvena Zvezda this evening, according to both Daily Mirror and Daily Mail.

Jurgen Klopp is set to hand the Brazilian his first start in Europe with both Naby Keita and Jordan Henderson sidelined due to injury.

Fabinho is one of five changes the Reds are expected to make for their Champions League group stage game at Anfield.

Liverpool are expected to make five changes from the side that defeated Huddersfield Town 1-0 on Saturday.

Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Georginio Wijnaldum, Fabinho and Joe Gomez are all set to start for the Reds.

Meanwhile, Daniel Sturridge, Adam Lallana, Xherdan Shaqiri, Jordan Henerson and Dejan Lovren drop out.

Mane returns for Liverpool after recovering from a hand injury.

Meanwhile, Henderson misses the clash after picking up an injury in West Yorkshire.

Speaking about team news, Klopp told LiverpoolFC.com:

 “Millie looks fine and should be OK, Gini got a knock on his Achilles but should be OK and Sadio trained and should be fine.

“(We have) a couple of problems, but still enough players to choose from tomorrow night.”

Liverpool will be hoping to get their Champions League campaign back on track this Tuesday as they host Red Star Belgarde.

The Reds lost to SSC Napoli in their previous European outing leaving Group C wide open.
