Liverpool vs Bayern Munich
Liverpool are set to host Bayern Munich on Tuesday the 19th of February.
It is the first of two legs in their Champions League round of 16 tie, the second leg being played in Munich on March 13th.
Liverpool head into the game in solid form having lost just once in the league all season.
The Reds have drawn two of their last five league games but got back to winning ways this past weekend with a comfortable 3-0 win over Bournemouth.
Bayern Munich, on the other hand, had somewhat of a poor start to their domestic campaign.
However, they are now in second spot in the Bundesliga, five points behind Borussia Dortmund.
Fabinho injury update
Ahead of the Bayern Munich clash, Liverpool are currently undergoing a warm weather training camp in Marbella.
It was after Liverpool arrived in Marbella that they revealed Dejan Lovren has still yet to recover from the injury he suffered vs Wolves and is likely to miss the Munich game.
Bad news on Dejan Lovren. Difficult to see him being ready for Bayern now. Hasn’t played since he limped off v Wolves on Jan 7. Liverpool had initially named him in travelling squad for Marbella. Could well be Fabinho/Matip at CB next Tuesday #LFC https://t.co/RC8gng6QEd

Given Liverpool’s defensive, troubles Fabinho may be in the fold to start at centre-back next week.
Unfortunately, it has since come to light that Fabinho did not train with Liverpool on Tuesday due to a slight muscle problem.
The Brazilian is expected to start training again soon but it is certainly something Liverpool will need to keep an eye on.
A minor muscle problem stopped Fabinho from joining the group today but he is expected to resume full training on Wed or Thurs. Milner and Wijnaldum are still struggling with illness and worked in the team hotel. “None of them are serious, all will be fine.” #LFC
