FA unhappy with Jamie Vardy for negotiating Leicester deal while on England duty [Star]

The FA are unhappy with Jamie Vardy, according to the Star.

The striker made official his decision to snub Arsenal and remain at Leicester today, a decision which has been hailed by most neutrals, as a small club wins out against a big shark for once.

Arsenal were confident of luring Vardy to the Emirates after triggering his release clause, but they hadn’t counted on the happy family that is Leicester; having just won the Premier League with the Foxes and finished as top scorer, Vardy has decided that perhaps the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.

But regardless of the decision itself, the Star claim that the FA are unhappy that Vardy negotiated his new Leicester deal while on England duty – after he’d given Hodgson his word that he’d wait until after the Euros.

Hodgson has banned all agents from the England camp, and he doesn’t want any club distractions during the tournament.
