Wayne Rooney in new acting role
What on earth happened to the sport we all love?
Manchester United today tweeted a trailer for the latest X-Men movie featuring club captain Wayne Rooney, in which he does some “fantastic” acting.
Fans thought they’d seen it all when the club pained their mascots faces blue in an X-Men advertising stunt ahead of the final day of the season 3-1 win over Bournemouth.
Anthony Martial and David De Gea are mentioned in the latest X-Men trailer but 30-year-old mutant Wayne Rooney is actually given a number of lines.
If Wayne Rooney saying “b****y hell” at the end of the video doesn’t make you chuckle then nothing ever will. Stick to your day job, Wayne.

Rooney at the Euros
Captain of club and country, Wayne Rooney is expected to start for Roy Hodgson but no-one is quite sure where.
Following an underwhelming season as a striker, Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal recently moved Rooney into a central midfield role at Old Trafford.
With Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy pushing for starts up front, Wayne Rooney may have to accept his new role in a much deeper position.
