However, there is one big issue with both teams’ kits, all three of Newcastle’s tops clash with the Seagulls’ home strip.

The Premier League have made this decision and the Tyneside club will therefore wear a special one-off kit this weekend.

Newcastle have been forced into releasing a special one-off kit for their trip to the Amex on Saturday.

Due to Premier League rules, Brighton as the hosts have to wear their home shirt, but this is deemed to clash with all three of Newcastle’s kits.

Therefore, the visitors have been given special dispensation to wear a sky-blue jersey that features the silhouette of St. James’ Park and several city landmarks.

Brighton and Newcastle both enjoyed winning starts to the new Premier League campaign.

The Seagulls stunned Old Trafford as they defeated Erik Ten Hag’s new Manchester United team 2-1.

Graham Potter’s side stormed into a 2-0 lead in the first-half and looked very impressive.

Last season, they recorded their highest ever Premier League finish as they ended up 9th.

They will be hoping to prove that this was no fluke this season and have made a strong start.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United comfortably defeated Nottingham Forest 2-0.

Following an unbelievable second half of last season, Eddie Howe’s team will be eyeing a European spot this term.
