Everton & RB Leipzig’s Jean-Kevin Augustin
It’s been a tricky season for Everton when it comes to their attack.
Marco Silva seems unsure about Turkish striker Cenk Tosun.
As a result, Brazilian Richalison has often been used as Everton’s main attacker this season.
But according to news from France Football, Everton has a distinct interest in RB Leipzig attacker Jean-Kevin Augustin.
Who is Jean-Kevin Augustin?
Jean-Kevin Augustin is a 21-year-old French striker.
Augustin is under contract at Leipzig until 2022.
This season Augustin has scored eight goals and chipped in with two assists in 22 matches for Leipzig in all competitions.
Everton’s interest revealed
According to France Football, Everton want to sign Jean-Kevin Augustin in the January transfer window.
In order to convince Leipzig to sell, Everton are lining up a 40 million euro offer.
It remains to be see if Leipzig will bite.
It’s worth noting that Ademola Lookman spent time last season on loan with Leipzig from Everton.
Lookman starred in the Bundesliga scoring five goals in 11 league games.
Leipzig tried to sign Lookman in the summer, however Everton rebuffed several approaches from the German side.
Could he be used as makeweight in any deal for Augustin?
