Ademola Lookman scores for RB Leipzig on debut

Everton’s Ademola Lookman scores great goal for RB Leipzig at Gladbach

A bad day for Everton gets worse!

Everton fans had to endure another massacre at the hands of Arsenal and many of them are so irate they are calling for their manager to get sacked.

Sam Allardyce might not have made the difference at Everton many suspected considering he usually puts out fires wherever he has been.

And, just as Everton fans were coming to terms with their 5-1 rout at the hands of Arsenal, along came another blow for the club to make Sam Allardyce look really stupid.

Ademola Lookman came on for RB Leipzig and scored!

Sam Allardyce had warned Lookman not to join RB Leipzig

Ademola Lookman signing on loan at RB Leipzig was one of the strangest moves of the January window.

It was made even weirder by the fact that Sam Allardyce was so publicly against it.

The Everton boss had said:

“It is one of the most unusual situations I’ve been in where we have got some deals for him but he was adamant he chose Germany. It is his choice. Oliver Burke (who plays for West Brom) has been there and could not wait to get away.

We tried to persuade him not to because I think it is a big challenge for his development with not being able to speak the language. We wanted him to go out on loan to play first team football every week – there were better opportunities for that – but he was stubborn and got what he wanted. I hope he proves us all wrong. I hope that he has every success and brings it back here to us.”

Borussia Monchengladbach 0 – RB Leipzig 1

The big Bundesliga game of Saturday evening looked to be heading to a 0-0 draw.

Ademola Lookman was introduced as a substitute on 78 minutes.

The Everton loanee received the ball from Naby Keita, sped away from three man and cracked a strike into the far corner.

A fine goal for Lookman and a reminder to Everton and Allardyce that they own a terrific young player…
