Everton’s impressive fightback vs Watford
Everton took on relegation-battling Watford this past weekend.
The Hornets have improved somewhat since the arrival of Nigel Pearson, and they enjoyed an impressive start vs Everton.
Strikes from Adam Masina and Roberto Pereyra gave Watford a two-goal lead inside 42 minutes on Saturday.
But the Toffees would mount a very impressive fightback after going 2-0 down.
Yerry Mina stepped up for Everton, netting a swift brace in first-half injury time.
Everton’s comeback looked to have taken a bit of a hit in the second 45, though, when Fabian Delph was shown a red card in the 71st minute.
However, Watford were unable to capitalise on their man advantage, with Theo Walcott instead stepping up in the dying moments of the game to snatch all three points for Everton.

Holgate set for new deal?
The Merseyside powerhouse are now undefeated in their last four league outings under Carlo Ancelotti.
Saturday’s victory also saw Everton move within just three points of 6th place in the Premier League.
One of Everton’s better performers both under Ancelotti and throughout the season, in general, has been Mason Holgate.
The 23-year-old has featured 18 times in the PL this term, providing three assists in those games.
It was even reported at the back end of last month that Holgate is in line for his first England call-up after impressing with Everton.
And now it seems like Everton want to reward Holgate for his fine form of late.
The Times’ Paul Joyce has, on Monday the 3rd of February, reported that the Toffees will look to open talks with Holgate over a new contract.
