Everton announce third signing
The Toffees have today announced their third signing of the summer, with Demarai Gray joining the club from Bayer Leverkusen. Gray joins days after announcements arrived for the signings of Asmir Begovic and Andros Townsend on free transfers from Stoke City and Crystal Palace respectively.

Gray, previously of Leicester City, joins the club on a three-year deal, with Everton possessing an option to extend for a fourth year.
Will he prove a shrewd acquisition for Rafael Benitez’s side?
Andre Gomes attracts interest
In the midst of Carlo Ancelotti’s reign, one man who fell by the wayside somewhat was Andre Gomes, who started just 17 Premier League games last season.
The Portuguese midfielder was often overlooked in favour of Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure, completing 90 minutes just 7 times.

As such, he may be considering a move away, and reports in The Liverpool Echo suggest that Benfica have enquired about the former Barcelona man.
One of the higher earners in the squad, Gomes’ departure could allow Benitez to continue his transfer business and create a side in his image.
Kalidou Koulibaly going nowhere
On the incomings front, however, Everton have seemingly been dealt a killer blow in their chase of Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly.
The Toffees were allegedly interested in the 30-year-old defender, but Napoli’s new manager Luciano Spalletti has poured cold water on such plans, saying:
“I’m ready to chain myself to keep Koulibaly here at Napoli”
