Idrissa Gueye

Everton told to expect heavy interest in Idrissa Gueye this summer

Will Gueye leave Everton this summer?

Everton have been told to expect interest from ‘a lot of big teams’ in midfielder Idrissa Gueye who was the subject of a failed move to PSG in January.

Since joining from Aston Villa, Gueye has grown into one of the best tacklers in the Premier League.

Not only that, in recent weeks he has been influential in the Toffees’ form improving.

He has been so good in recent seasons that Paris Saint-Germain moved for the player in January.

PSG made several bids for the player but Everton were unwilling to do business.

Idrissa Gueye even explained how disappointed he was to miss out on a move.

Now, while he concentrates on finishing as high as possible with Everton, clubs are supposedly lining up to sign him.

“A lot of big teams will be interested in him”

According to Gueye’s advisor, Thierno Seydi, there will be no shortage of suitors in the summer.

Speaking to APS in Senegal, as cited by Sport Witness, Seydi explained that ‘a lot of big teams will be interested in him’.

If that’s the case, it may be hard for Everton to keep hold of him past the summer transfer window.

“It’s true that we would have liked him to go to PSG, but this approach brought him to the fore to play in the best teams in the world,” he explained.

“I’m convinced that a lot of big teams will be interested in him.

“It’s a shame he didn’t move to PSG, but he hasn’t lost everything because he will be one of the most sought after players at the end of the season.”
