Cough up the money
Everton have been told to speed up their pursuit of Swansea star Gylfi Sigurdsson with both clubs wanting a swift resolution to the saga.
The Icelandic star has been the target of the Toffees for the past few transfer windows and now the interest has reached an all time high.
Ronald Koeman’s men are close to reaching what could be a £50m transfer fee for the player who has impressed significantly in the Premier League.
Even with thoughts that a deal is getting slowly closer, Swansea boss Paul Clement has reminded Everton that he wants a deal done soon.
“And I think from all sides we want to see a resolution to this situation,” he explained.
Though, Clement has also revealed that he does not feel it is out of the question for Sigurdsson to remain in Wales.
“I don’t see it as impossible (Sigurdsson will stay).”
I'm all for signing Sigurdsson but if anyone tries to start that Icelandic clap thing I'm giving him a lift back to Swansea.
