Everton to sign Andre Gomes from Barcelona
If Mundo Deportivo can be trusted, then Everton are on the verge of signing Andre Gomes from Barcelona.
25-year-old Portuguese international Gomes made the big-money move to Barcelona from Valencia in the summer of 2016.
The Blaugrana splashed out an initial 35 million euros, plus a potential 20 million in bonuses on his signature, beating off competition from fierce rivals Real Madrid to secure Gomes’ arrival.
Following his loan spell at Everton, MD have told their readers that Gomes should switch to Goodison Park in a permanent deal.
Moreover, Everton are tipped to spend around 25 million euros on Gomes.

When will Everton sign Andre Gomes?
Mundo Deportivo suggest that the deal may happen today: Wednesday, July 19th.
Importantly, Everton already have an agreement in place with Gomes over personal terms.
Gomes played 27 times for Everton in the 2018-19 Premier League, scoring once and contributing one assist.
Everton, though, failed to secure an option to sign Gomes in a permanent deal last summer, which meant the Toffees ran the risk of seeing the Spaniard sign for a Premier League rival.
West Ham & Tottenham
Should Everton complete the deal for Andre Gomes, the Toffees will have beaten West Ham and Tottenham in the race for the 25-year-old’s signature.
On West Ham’s interest, the Hammers reportedly ended their pursuit of Gomes after signing Pablo Fornals for 27 million euros from Villarreal.
Tottenham dropped their interest in Gomes earlier in the transfer window.
#Barca briefing today that fee has now been agreed with #efc for Andre Gomes – £22m initial with add-ons that could take it higher (but no higher than £31m). Clearly a very good deal for Everton in this market
