Everton’s director of football Marcel Brands and his staff will fly to Barcelona today to try and seal deals for Camp Nou duo Lucas Digne and Yerry Mina.
The two players in question have been talked about a lot over the past month or so with their futures looking under threat in Catalunya.
Mina had a brilliant showing at the World Cup, becoming the first defender to score in all three of his first matches at the competition.
He was the shining light for Colombia who could not beat England on penalties and would subsequently go home.
It was a very different case for Digne this summer though, having not been selected for the France World Cup squad.
The Frenchman was said to be devastated and will be even more frustrated after his nation went all the way and won the tournament.
Now, Everton are looking to get a deal done for both players and revitalise their club careers.
Marco Silva confirmed Everton’s interest in Lucas Digne the other day and with the Richarlison deal now done, the Blues turn their attention to the defender.
Now, the club have sanctioned a trip to the Camp Nou according to the Daily Mail to try and get a deal over the line for Digne but Mina will also be on the agenda.
The Colombian defender has been tipped as Everton’s number one defensive target but Lyon have recently entered the race.
They will certainly hope that face to face talks with the Camp Nou side will speed up any deal and beat their rivals to the defender.
