South American trio
Everton’s £40m summer signing Richarlison has been discussing the chances of fellow South American stars Yerry Mina and Bernard joining him.
Richarlison became the Toffees first signing of the summer when they were able to persuade Watford to part with the Brazilian.
Having played so well under Marco Silva at the Hornets, it is clear that the new Everton boss will be hoping he can reach that level again.
The Brazilian was speaking about the Portuguese boss during his press conference today and it’s clear their relationship is a great one.
“I think Silva is a great coach,” he explained, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.
They understand him. When I want more information, or want an explanation or something explaining, I go to his office and he tells me.”
Though, that wasn’t the only subject that Richarlison was asked about.
That is because he has been talking about more potential arrivals joining him at Goodison Park this summer.
The players, who are also well known by Richarlison, come in the form of Yerry Mina and Bernard.
Mina, who has also been linked with a move to Manchester United is a target before deadline day and Richarlison played with him at Palmeiras in Brazil.
Bernard is also a player he knows well due to his performances in Brazil as well as the national team and is set for a move to the Toffees.
Now, while he remained coy over moves, he would be happy to see them both at Everton this summer.
“Bernard is a great player for the Brazil team,” he explained.
“I have followed his progress with Atlético Mineiro. I don’t know much but if he is here, he would be a great addition. He is a great guy.”
“Yerry Mina? No, I don’t know anything. Yerry Mina is a great guy and a great dancer. When he played for Palmieras, he used to dance and we became great pals off the pitch.”
