Everton have reportedly named their asking price for youngster Ademola Lookman amid interest from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.
The Englishman spent the majority of last season on loan with the Bundesliga side and impressed.
He played 11 matches, scoring 5 times and assisting 3 times, leading to interest from the Bundesliga side to make a permanent move for the player.
While he would no doubt be a brilliant player for Leipzig, that doesn’t mean that Everton will want to sell him.
In fact, Marco Silva has already stated that he does not want to lose the player and wants him in the squad next season.
The only problem is that Lookman will be seeking first-team football next season and after Everton’s business this summer, can they give him it?
They have already signed Richarlison for £40million while they are also reportedly on the verge of signing free agent Bernard.
Now, Everton have reportedly eased up on their Lookman stance and have slapped a price tag on him.
That is because a report from the Mirror today has suggested that the Toffees are looking for £30million if they were to sell the player.
That is just under three times what the club paid for him when they signed him from Charlton back in 2017.
While that would represent a pretty decent profit for the Toffees, they will not want to lose such a talented player.
The Premier League transfer window shuts on Thursday evening but Lookman could still leave for Leipzig before the Bundesliga window shuts on September 1st.
Bernard move hints to me that Lookman may be on the way. Exciting attacking options if he isn’t though.
