Everton set for a very big summer
Everton have been linked with moves for Nice’s Allan Saint-Maximin and Adrien Tameze, with the Toffees expected to be busy this summer.
The Blues had a pretty solid campaign under Marco Silva last season.
Everton were hoping for a new dawn under their Portuguese boss, after investing heavily in the squad last summer.
Sporting director Marcel Brands brought in all of Richarlison, Lucas Digne, Yerry Mina, Bernard, Andre Gomes and Kurt Zouma.
However, a bumpy Christmas period for Everton meant that an eighth-place finish was the best they could manage.
Two of those players could come in the form of Nice’s Allan Saint-Maximin and Adrien Tameze, with reports linking Everton with a move for the pair.
Everton targeting Nice double deal?
According to L’Equipe, as cited by Sport Witness, Everton have been in contact with Nice over the potential signing of Saint-Maximin.
Their report claims that while Saint-Maximin has a release clause of €60 million, Everton could get him for less than half of that.
This comes after a disappointing season, in which the player scored five goals and assisted six.
As pointed out by Sport Witness, L’Equipe also name-drop Everton as a potential destination for Adrien Tameze.
The midfielder assisted five goals last season and is also supposedly being tracked by Atalanta.
With Idrissa Gueye having been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain again recently, a move for Tameze would hardly come as a surprise.
