Everton fans furious after conceding from another set-piece vs Man City
Everton vs Man City
Everton hosted Man City on Wednesday in the first of five very tough home games.
After facing City at home, Everton will take on Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United at Goodison Park.

Everton are currently 9th in the league but with the above run of home games, it is hard to see them staying there.
The Toffees have also been pretty poor in recent weeks, losing three of their last five Premier League games.

Laporte gives Man City the lead through a set-piece
While Everton have been out of form recently, they started the game vs Man City very well.
Unfortunately for Everton, their biggest weakness under Marco Silva once again cost them.
After losing to Wolves, Everton had conceded their 11th goal from a set play this campaign.
This promoted Everton striker Cenk Tosun to call on his team to improve:
“We have a lot of meetings with all the players together and we are improving every day.
“But we have to work on set-pieces a little more as a team.” As quoted by Sky Sports.
However, despite all the meetings Everton are said to have had, they were still poor at defending set-pieces vs City.
This eventually cost them in the 45th minute as Aymeric Laporte headed home from a David Silva free-kick.
What a time to score!@ManCity in front on the stroke of half-time, but @Everton‘s set-piece woes continue!

How can a team do consistently concede from free-kicks and corners? Everton’s inability to defend set pieces is killing them game after game #EFC #EFCMCI

It doesn’t matter how “good” you look when you can’t score goals and you can’t defend set pieces. @Everton are about to drop a lot of points over the next month. Buckle your seat belts.

#everton just wasted 45 minutes of really solid play. Why can’t they defend set pieces?? #EVEMCI
