Everton eyeing Moise Kean move/Juventus to demand buy-back clause – Mail

As per a report from the Daily Mail, Premier League outfit Everton are keen on the summer signature of Juventus youngster Moise Kean.

Juve prodigy

Kean, a 19-year-old striker, has emerged as one of Italian football’s most highly-regarded talents over the last couple of seasons.

The Juve starlet, though still admittedly raw, possesses all of the attributes of a potentially top-class goalscorer.

Kean has already proven himself to be a clinical finisher in and around the box, with both his ability to sniff out chances, and calm under pressure in front of goal, more befitting of a player far beyond his tender years.

Significantly, though, the starlet is also a genuine athlete, possessing a lightning turn of pace and the upper body strength to out-muscle opposing defenders.

After proving prolific on his way through Juventus’ youth setup, Kean broke into the first-team ranks of the Bianconeri for the first time during the 2016/17 campaign.

A loan with Hellas Verona the following season, meanwhile, saw the hitman continue to impress, eventually leading to Kean being handed a more prominent role in the senior setup at the Allianz Stadium last season.

All told, the teen went on to notch a hugely-impressive 7 goals across 17 showings. This came despite the majority of his appearances coming from the bench.

Kean’s international record is also none-too-shabby, with the Italian having found the net twice in 3 appearances for the Azzurri.

Everton interest

Kean, though, will face a tough task in carving out a consistent starting berth for himself next season.

As things stand, all of Cristiano Ronaldo, Mario Mandzukic, Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala represent options up top for incoming Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri.

In addition, the Old Lady have been heavily-linked with a move for Inter Milan hitman Mauro Icardi this summer.

As a result, as per the aforementioned report from the Daily Mail, this situation has led to heavy interest from Premier League outfit Everton in Kean’s signature.

The Toffees are known to be on the lookout for a new centre-forward this summer, with Kean seemingly fitting the bill.

Securing a deal for the Italian, though, will prove far from straightforward.

Juve are known to be firm believers in Kean’s talents, meaning it would likely require a push from the attacker himself for a move to come to fruition.

As such, the Mail’s claim that the Serie A champions are looking to cash-in on Kean comes as something of a surprise.

It is suggested that Juve want to tie their youth product down to a new deal, before selling him abroad.

The Bianconeri would reportedly demand a fee of around £31 million for his services. Crucially, though, a buy-back clause would also be required in any potential sale.
