Everton enquire about move for Barcelona’s Malcom

Shock move on the cards

Everton have reportedly made contact with Barcelona in hope of sealing a deal for their summer signing Malcom after he found his chances limited.

The Brazilian was one of the biggest talking points in the summer transfer window.

When it looked set that he would sign for Barcelona, the player missed his flight to Rome and travelled to Catalunya instead.

A deal was struck with the Camp Nou club and the player decided to make the move to La Liga instead.

Though, his move has not gone as planned yet.

The forward has only played 97 minutes of La Liga football and has found chances very hard to come by.

Now, there has been talk of a potential move in January.

Everton revive their interest in Malcom

That is because according to Marca, Everton are looking into the possibility of signing him.

The Toffees were heavily linked with a move for the player back in the summer.

However, it looks as though Barcelona beat them to his signature.

Now, Everton have reportedly asked the club about his availability.

That would be a stunning move considering he only signed in the summer.

Though, Everton will not get their wish with Marca also claiming that Malcom will not leave this month.

They claim that ‘Malcom intends to continue until summer to see if Valverde trusts him more and gives him a greater role.’

They further explain that the player has informed Everton of this decision.

With that in mind, it looks to be a dead end for the Toffees as they look to add some firepower to their attack in this transfer window.

Though, the situation could change at the end of the season.
