Everton draw up shortlist of managers to replace Sam Allardyce

Change is coming

Everton have drawn up a small shortlist of managers that they will look at recruiting in the summer with a decision over Sam Allardyce’s future to be made.

The former England manager came into the club after Ronald Koeman was sacked following an extremely poor run.

While his initial month was extremely positive with several wins, the positivity quickly faded.

The Toffees have now only won two of their last 10 games, with Allardyce’s side only scraping by in those wins.

That has left the Goodison faithful coming crashing down on Sam Allardyce with his style of football not helping his case in the slightest.

The fans are growing unhappy with his negative football, as well as his claims that Everton need to be ‘more boring’.

His decision to stick with Morgan Schneiderlin who has had his commitment questioned hasn’t helped either, nor has the exile of Davy Klaassen and it’s almost certain that Allardyce is on borrowed time.

Shortlist

With that in mind, majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri has seemingly heard the fans displeasure and is weighing up his options according to reports.

Shakhtar boss Paulo Fonseca looks to be favoured option with Paul Brown in the Daily Star claiming Moshiri has been pushing for the Portuguese boss.

The club supposedly made an approach for him when Koeman was sacked but Shakhtar refused to let him go before the end of the season.

It is also said that Fonseca was interested in the job and could be next time around.

Though, what is even more interesting is the two names that Moshiri is also looking into.

Former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique and Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone have also been discussed and could be targeted.

Safe to say, Everton fans will be happy to see the back of Allardyce and see any of those three take over.

Fears for Everton’s Sam Allardyce & Steve Walsh

In even more bad news for Allardyce, there are even more reports claiming he could be axed.

Though, this report claims that Steve Walsh could also be sent with him.
