Who is Yacine Brahimi?
Yacine Brahimi is a Paris born Algerian forward who plays for Porto and the Algerian national team.
He is a former France youth international, having represented the country at all youth levels. However, he switched his international allegiance to Algeria and made his debut for them in March 2013.
Brahimi, who was signed by Porto from Granada CF for a fee of €6.5 million in 2014, is known for his great dribbling technique and ability to take on players.
He is described by many coaches and journalists as a ‘versatile winger that is unpredictable’ and was credited for his ability in 2014 when he won the BBC African player of the year of that year.
Brahimi is Everton bound
According to Ojogo, Yacine Brahimi is very close to joining Everton from Porto. Apparently, the Algerian is already on English soil and is close to completing his move to the Merseyside outfit.
The 26-year-old will reportedly sign for an amount that could reach up to €40 million and could prove to be a strong addition to Ronald Koeman’s side.
He has been at Porto since 2014 but has ceased to be an option since the arrival of Nuno Espírito Santo at the club. However, a move to Everton, could help his career, should he make an impact in the Premier League.
