Everton close in on Gbamin, possible medical on Thursday – Sky Germany

Everton’s busy end to the transfer window set to continue

Everton are reportedly close to signing FSV Mainz midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin, with a medical even possible on Thursday.

The Toffees have burst into life in the transfer market this week.

Idrissa Gueye’s departure was confirmed, with Paris Saint-Germain signing the midfielder in a deal that could cost 32 million euros.

Meanwhile, Everton are close to signing Juventus striker Moise Kean.

According to reports in Italy, the deal is done, but the striker has not yet been confirmed as an Everton player.

As well as Kean, Everton have been linked with moves for both Malcom and Wilfried Zaha.

Sky Sports reported this week that Everton bid £55 million plus James McCarthy and Cenk Tosun for Zaha.

However, the Blues quickly denied that a second bid had been made, suggesting Sky Sports’ reported bid was fabricated.

The Toffees, though, are now reportedly close to signing another player.

Everton set to replace Idrissa Gueye.

That player is Mainz midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin.

According to Sky in Germany, Everton are close to agreeing a deal with Mainz for the 23-year-old.

It’s said that ‘the Toffees will transfer about 30 million euros including bonuses to the FSV’ for Gbamin.

It’s also claimed that Gbamin will sign a four-year deal and that ‘there are only a few final details to clarify’.

Not only is a deal supposedly close, but a medical could also even take place on Thursday.
