Everton boss Sam Allardyce has launched a counter-attack on critics that claim the side are playing boring football following his arrival.
The Englishman was brought in following Ronald Koeman’s sacking, with the Toffees starting the season extremely poorly.
A stint with caretaker boss David Unsworth didn’t herald much of a change but the initial wedding of Everton and Allardyce was successful.
The side went on a run of games with positive results but it didn’t last long as the Toffees slumped back into their old ways.
They were dragged into what could have been a relegation battle and it’s safe to say Everton fans were not happy.
Under Sam Allardyce, the side have prioritised defending first and have no doubt went into games pretty negatively.
The side played with a five at the back formation against Arsenal at the Emirates and attempted to ride their luck, though they fell to a 5-2 defeat.
Following a 4-0 loss to Tottenham in which Everton failed to register a shot on target, Sam Allardyce then claimed the side needed to be ‘more boring’.
Now, Everton fans have had enough and they have well and truly turned on their boss over his defensive tactics.
Boring again,Allardyce hasn’t got a clue how to attack

17. After two goals and four losses in a six-game winless streak, Sam Allardyce declares the only way for Everton to break out of their bad run is to “be more boring.”

Sam allardyce is NOT Everton’s answer, boring and negative won’t win games

Rooney – “I still think realistically we can finish seventh now. That has to be our target for the rest of the season.”
Allardyce – “Four points from four games, that’s a ‘safe from relegation run'”
Fuck off you negative, mentalist, swindling bastard.#Everton

Allardyce hits back
Sam Allardyce will not stand for that though and has now defended his side and the way they play.
“The type of football we’ve produced isn’t rubbish, we’ve produced proper football in terms of what we’ve tried to achieve.
“The past reputation is not the reality if you ask the players, so you look at the football we’ve played since I’ve been here.
“Unfortunately, you have to live with the past sometimes, you can’t get rid of it. If people have blinkers on, I can’t take them off.”
