Premier League duo targeting January reinforcements
Both Everton and Watford have been linked with a move for one player who is said to be a Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli target.
The Toffees have had a pretty disappointing first campaign under Marco Silva so far.
They are currently sat 11th in the Premier League table after picking up just one win in eight games over the Christmas period.
Meanwhile, despite a few bumps during the season, Watford are having a pretty decent year.
They sit 8th and while they are just two points above Everton, they have a few very winnable games coming up.
Now, both are being linked with moves in the January transfer window.
Everton have predominantly been linked with a striker over the past month but it is a midfielder who is on the radar of both the Toffees and Watford.
Stanislav Lobotka set for Premier League move?
That midfielder is Celta Vigo’s Stanislav Lobotka.
The Slovakian signed for the club in 2017 and has made 48 appearances since then.
During that time, he has impressed the fans and is starting to acquire many admirers.
According to Le10Sport, Watford and Everton are both interested in a potential move for the player.
Everton’s Idrissa Gueye has been linked with a move away, as has Abdoulaye Doucouré.
With that in mind, Lobotka could be the man that replaces either of them and their respective clubs.
Though, it wouldn’t be easy to sign him.
That is because according to the same report, Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli are also said to be interested in the player.
It is said that he would cost roughly £26million despite his release clause standing at £45 million.
That is very much a reachable fee for both Everton and Watford.
