Is there a magic money tree?!
Everton look to further their summer spending after having an initial bid of £40 million rejected for Benfica striker Raul Jimenez.
The Portuguese press seem to believe that the Merseysiders are well and truly willing to go out to sign Benfica’s forward.
The Mexican has impressed in the side but has still struggled at times to overtake Jonas and Konstantinos Mitroglo in the starting lineup.
This brings many questions as to why Everton would offer such a huge fee, let alone Benfica demand another £5m to make it £45m in total.
Just less than the price that Alexandre Lacazette signed for Arsenal, it would come as a surprise if that was the actual sum.
Regardless, it is still clear that Everton are willing outspend their way into the top six next season.

Manchester United star next
Next on Everton’s list in a Man United star and a deal could be completed as early as this weekend.
The Toffees are not standing around and a deal could see them offer a huge £250,000 wage to the player.
