Erling Braut Haaland ‘considering’ Red Bull switch to Leipzig – Sky Sports

Haaland set for shock switch?

Red Bull Salzburg’s Erling Braut Haaland is reportedly considering a proposal which would see him move to sister club RB Leipzig.

Haaland has been one of the success stories of the season so far.

The Norwegian striker has been a revelation both in the Austrian Bundesliga and the Champions League.

Starting with his league form, Haaland has scored an incredible 12 goals in 11 games.

However, it’s his performances on the European stage which have really made teams sit up and take notice.

Haaland has scored seven Champions League goals in four appearances, including a hat-trick on his competition debut.

As a result of his performances, Haaland has now been linked with a whole host of top clubs.

But, he could be set for an unexpected move soon.

Swapping Austria for Germany?

According to Sky Sports, Haaland is currently considering a proposal which would see him leave Red Bull Salzburg for sister club RB Leipzig.

Their report claims: ‘Sky Sports News has learned that the 6ft 4in Norwegian striker is also considering a proposal to stay affiliated to the RB group and join Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig.”

Sky also claim that all of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus ‘have launched plans’ to sign Haaland, with his valuation set at £80 million.

It’s safe to say that RB Leipzig would be unable to pay that much money for Haaland, but as they are the sister club of Salzburg, you would assume that they could come to an ‘arrangement’.

Sky continue by claiming that Leipzig hope to convince Haaland by suggesting his development would be best served under Julian Nagelsmann and Ralf Rangnick.

Only time will tell if that’s enough to swing a deal in Leipzig’s favour, though.
