Summer departures at the Emirates
Mohamed Elneny could leave Arsenal after being linked with a move away from the club ahead of the summer transfer window.
It’s not been great for Elneny of late.
The Egyptian midfielder has only featured four times for Arsenal in the Premier League this campaign.
Elneny has predominantly played in the Europa League, having featured in five games, assisting one goal.
With a lack of time on the pitch, Elneny has been linked with a move away from Arsenal several times now.
One of those links included a move to Serie A giants Roma.
The Italian club, according to Tuttomercatoweb and cited by Football Italia, wanted to sign Elneny in January.
However, January came and went and Elneny remained a fringe player at Arsenal.
Now, it looks as though he could be finally set to leave the Gunners.
Besiktas targeting summer Elneny move
According to a new report on Wednesday, Elneny is one of several potential targets for Turkish giants Besiktas.
Fotospor claim that Atiba Hutchinson will leave the club in the summer and as a result, Besiktas could move for Elneny.
The report goes on to explain that the ‘Besiktas management requested information about the conditions for Elneny.’
While there is little talk about what the conditions are, you would imagine Elneny could leave for a relatively low price.
Though, having only paid roughly £5million to sign the player from Basel back in 2016, Arsenal would no doubt make a profit on a player who has been solid in the Premier League.
