Real Madrid top dogs once again
American business magazine Forbes yesterday published their 2016 detailed list of the top 50 most valuable sports teams in the world.
Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid were once again the most valuable soccer team in the world, holding off rivals Barcelona and Manchester United.
However, ‘Los Blancos’ were knocked off top spot into 2nd for the first time in five years, with the Dallas Cowboys taking the title of the ‘most valuable sports team in the world‘.
Premier League clubs becoming richer and richer
Liverpool and Arsenal both saw the value of their clubs rise by over 50% in the past 12 months and Premier League clubs make up five of the top eight most valuable sports clubs in the world.
Widely regarded as the most marketable league in the world, the new £5bn television deal is set to make Premier League clubs even richer.
