The new jersey number set to be donned by Real Madrid talent Eduardo Camavinga over the course of the coming season has been confirmed on Thursday.
French international Camavinga, of course, if fresh off a debut season to remember in Spain’s capital.
Despite regularly seeing his consistency called into question on the domestic front, the 19-year-old excelled in Europe, playing an absolutely integral role in Real’s eventual triumph in the Champions League.
It should therefore come as little surprise to hear of Camavinga having his importance to the Blancos cause recognised.
This past season saw the former Stade Rennais standout take to the pitch with the number 25 emblazoned across his back.
In 2022/23, though, he is set to take on a more recognisable shirt in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
As confirmed courtesy of an update across Real’s website, and since picked up on by Blancos fans across the globe, Camavinga has seen his number upgraded to 12.
This comes after the jersey was vacated by club legend Marcelo upon his free agent departure earlier this summer.
