EA Sports have this afternoon confirmed Real Madrid’s Eden Hazard and Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk as the faces of FIFA 20, with both players having since taken to social media to express their pride at the announcement.
The latest edition of football’s most-played video game is set to be released in two months’ time.
EA’s FIFA 20, available across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC Windows and Nintendo Switch, will be officially put on sale on the 27th of September.
As such, in anticipation of the game hitting stores, the usual chatter surrounding just who would be chosen to feature on the cover, considered as quite an honour among players, has been circulating for several weeks now.
And, as per the aforementioned announcement a short time ago, the latest duo have today been chosen.
The stars opted for by EA come in the form of Eden Hazard and Virgil van Dijk:

‘Dream come true!’
Both players have since taken to social media to celebrate the news, with Hazard having first pointed to his humble beginnings:

The former Chelsea star continued:
‘EA SPORTS FIFA is the biggest Football game on the planet, and I have been playing it for years against my brothers. I am lucky to have been on the cover before but to be on FIFA 20 globally is amazing and I hope to excite as many gamers as I do when I take the field for Real Madrid this season!’
Van Dijk labelled the announcement a ‘dream come true’, before revealing his ‘honour’ at representing Liverpool:
